Top Indian OTT Titles Streaming This Week: Mumbai Diaries S2 & More

Last week was marked with the arrival of some exciting Indian OTT titles including several films and web series such as ‘Charlie Chopra’, ‘King of Kotha’, ‘Choona’, and ‘Kushi’, to name a few.

Likewise, the current week too has some eagerly anticipated OTT titles coming up. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top Indian titles streaming on OTT platforms this week.

Rat In the Kitchen (Streaming on Jio Cinema from 2nd October)

The short thriller film follows a depressed man who is going through a divorce. After he returns home, he finds his kitchen ransacked, assumingly by a rat. So, he installs CCTV cameras but later he is appalled after seeing the recorded footage.

Mein Mehmood (Streaming on Jio Cinema from 3rd October)

The short film follows the story of a man named Mehmood, who lives in Dubai and works hard in a tourism company in Dubai. But his inability to speak English language fluently puts his job in jeopardy and how he deals with the situation forms the film’s crux.

Khufiya (Streaming on Netflix from 5th October)

Based on Amar Bhushan’s novel ‘Escape to Nowhere’, Vishal Bhardwaj’s spy thriller movie features Tabu in the role of a RAW agent, who tries to track down a mole and avenge the death of an undercover spy. The film also features Ali Fazal, Wamiqa Gabbi, Ashish Vidyarthi, and Atul Kulkarni in important roles.

Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty (Streaming on Netflix from 5th October)

The romantic comedy movie follows a London-based chef Miss Anvika Shetty (Anushka Shetty), who wants to lead a single life without getting married.But the other protagonist – Hyderabad-based stand-up comedian Mr. Sidhu Shetty (Naveen Polishetty) is completely different as he wants a committed relationship. The story takes a turn when Miss Shetty wants to have a baby and is looking for a sperm donor.

Mumbai Diaries Season-2 (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 6th October)

The series revolves around the staff of Bombay General Hospital and how they are still coping with the aftermath of the terror attacks while dealing with their own personal problems. The new season’s story is ostensibly set against the backdrop of the devastating Mumbai floods, and how the staff must face the extremely difficult situation courageously despite all odds.

Gadar 2 (Streaming on Zee5 from 6th October)

A sequel to the superhit movie ‘Gadar’ and set against the backdrop of the 1971 Indo-Pak war, the film’s plot follows the journey of Tara Singh (Sunny Deol), who returns to the neighbouring country in order to get his son back.

Ghuspaith: Between Borders (Streaming on Jio Cinema from 6th October)

Helmed by Mihir Kalpana Lath and set on the India-Bangladesh border, the short film revolves around a photojournalist (Amit Sadh), who crosses the border while putting his own life in danger.

Mr. Pregnant (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 6th October)

The romantic comedy drama movie follows a charming tattoo artist Gautham, who marries a woman named Mahi. They get married but when the woman gets pregnant, Gautham decides to carry the baby himself.

The Great Indian Suicide (Streaming on Aha Video from 6th October)

The Telugu thriller movie is inspired from the Madanapalle homicides, and the story revolves around how a family takes the decision to commit mass suicide in order to bring back a loved one from the clutches of death.

Star Vs Food Survival (Streaming on Discovery+ from 6th October)

Hosted by popular chef Ranveer Brar, the latest season of the celebrity cooking show features stars like Sanjay Dutt, Sunil Shetty, Aparshakti Khurana, Mouni Roy, and Nakul Mehta and they will discover some of India’s hidden culinary delights in Coorg and Spiti.

The Daughter (Streaming on Jio Cinema from 7th October)

Directed by Soumyak Kanti DeBisas, the short film takes place in a riot-affected small Indian town which is under curfew. In such a situation, a young woman tries to find a man who will help her execute a tough act for the sake of an emotional closure.
