Top Indian OTT Titles Streaming This Week: The Archies, Chamak Etc

Last week was marked with the arrival of some exciting Indian OTT titles including several films and web series such as ‘Chithha’, ‘Shehar Lakhot’, ‘Dhootha’, and ‘Mission Raniganj’, to name a few.

Likewise, the current week too has some eagerly anticipated OTT titles coming up. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top Indian titles streaming on OTT platforms this week.

Campus Beats Season-3 (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video, Amazon miniTV from 5th December)
The teen drama series revolves around the relationship between the students at the Mumbai University of Movement and Dance and the romantic angle between Ishaan and Netra and how the latter delves into her past.

The Archies (Streaming on Netflix from 7th December)
Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the musical comedy movie is set during the 1960s period in the fictional hilly town of Riverdale. The film’s story will explore the themes of friendship, romantic relationships and their ups and downs which happen in the lives of the comic book characters we grew up with: Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, Reggie, Ethel and Dilton.

Chamak (Streaming on SonyLIV from 7th December)
Directed by Rohit Jugraj, the music-centric web series revolves around the life of a Canada-based young rapper, who somehow lands in Punjab. Upon reaching there, he finds out about his lost family and decides to exact revenge for the death of his father, who was shot dead during a performance.

Mann Pasand (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 7th December)
It’s a stand-up comedy special featuring one of the most popular comedians in India – Zakir Khan and in which he talks about his experiences including his misadventures during a Goa trip.

Kadak Singh (Streaming on Zee5 from 8th December)
The movie features Pankaj Tripathi in the role of an employee of the Department of Financial Crimes, who tries to unearth the mystery behind a chit fund scam case despite suffering from retrograde amnesia.

Jigarthanda DoubleX (Streaming on Netflix from 8th December)
The film’s story is set in the 1970s period and follows an infamous Madurai-based gangster (Raghava Lawrence), who is a diehard fan of Clint Eastwood. He crosses paths with a filmmaker (SJ Suryah), who agrees to make a movie with the gangster.

Keedaa Cola (Streaming on Aha Video from 8th December)
The comedy crime movie revolves around a bunch of people who try to make money after they find a cockroach inside a cold drink bottle.

Vadhuvu (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 8th December)
The Telugu family thriller web series features Avika Gor in the lead role and the story delves into the dilemma faced by the protagonist who is about to get married in a joint family setup. But there is more to the family than meets the eye.

Dhak Dhak (Streaming on Netflix from 8th December)
The movie follows the story of four ordinary women (played by Ratna Pathak Shah, Dia Mirza, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanjana Sanghi), who decide to go on an adventurous road trip on the highest motorable road. And during this journey of a lifetime, the women find a new meaning in their lives.

Koose Munisamy Veerappan (Streaming on Zee5 from 8th December)
The documentary series follows the story of a feared and ruthless smuggler Veerappan, who lived in the dense jungles located in South India and features interviews of journalists, politicians, and the families of victims.

Mast Mein Rehne Ka (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 8th December)
Helmed by Vijay Maurya, the movie follows the story of a widower (Jackie Shroff), whose life takes an interesting turn after he meets and eventually strikes a bond with a lively Punjabi woman (Neena Gupta).
