Last week was marked with the arrival of some exciting Indian OTT titles including several films and web series such as ‘The Archies’, ‘Chamak’, ‘Kadak Singh’, ‘Keedaa Cola’ and ‘Jigarthanda DoubleX’, to name a few. Likewise, the current week too has some eagerly anticipated OTT titles coming up. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top Indian titles streaming on OTT platforms this week.
Japan (Streaming on Netflix from 11th December)
The action-comedy movie features Karthi as the titular protagonist, an expert thief who must outwit the cops after robbing a jewellery store for a whopping Rs.200 crores.
Tiger 3 (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 12th December)
It is the third instalment of YRF’s Tiger film series starring Salman Khan as the daredevil spy. It has been directed by the immensely talented filmmaker Maneesh Sharma and also features a cameo by Shah Rukh Khan. The film’s story is about how the daredevil protagonist Tiger is wrongfully accused as a traitor and makes it his mission to clear his name.
Koose Munisamy Veerappan (Streaming on Zee5 from 14th December)
The documentary series follows the story of a feared and ruthless smuggler Veerappan, who lived in the dense jungles located in South India and features interviews of journalists, politicians, and the families of victims.
The Freelancer: Season-2 (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 15th December)
Neeraj Pandey’s thriller web series revolves around a daredevil rescue mission undertaken by a fearless mercenary to get back a young girl from war-torn Syria. It features Mohit Raina, Kashmira Pardeshi, and Anupam Kher in important roles.
Falimy (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 15th December)
Helmed by Nithish Sahadev, the family drama movie revolves around the life of a middle-class family living in Thiruvananthapuram and the challenges faced by its members. It features Basil Joseph, Jagadish, and Manju Pillai in the lead roles.
