Top Indian Titles Streaming This Week On OTT: Dasvi, Gullak & More

Last week was marked with the arrival of some exciting Indian and foreign OTT titles including several films and web series such as ‘Moon Knight’ ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’, ‘Bheeshma Parvam’, and ‘Drive My Car’, to name a few.

Likewise, the current week too has some eagerly anticipated OTT films and web series coming up. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top Indian titles streaming on OTT platforms this week.

Dasvi (Streaming on Jio Cinema, Netflix from 7th April)

Helmed by Tushar Jalota in his directorial debut, the social comedy-drama film features Abhishek Bachchan in the role of powerful Jaat politician Gangaram Chaudhary. He is sent behind bars for an alleged teacher recruitment scam and makes his wife (Nimrat Kaur) the new CM.

In jail, he has an ego clash with the upright jailor (Yami Gautam). Now the eighth pass politician must prove his mettle and pass the tenth-class exam while learning valuable lessons along the way.

Gullak Season 3 (Streaming on SonyLIV from 7th April)

The slice-of-life, feel-good show follows the extraordinary tales of an ordinary, middle-class North Indian small-town Mishra family comprising parents Santosh Mishra, Shanti Mishra, and their two sons Annu and Aman.

The episodical stories revolve around quotidian yet heart-warming subjects like sibling fights, the sons’ tantrums, etc. The third season will showcase the ups and downs in the Mishra family and how they face the new hurdles together.

Etharkkum Thunindhavan (Streaming on Netflix, Sun NXT from 7th April)

Written and directed by Pandiraj, ‘Etharkkum Thunindhavan’ is an action thriller movie that revolves around the story of a High Court lawyer Kannabiran (played by Suriya).

He is forced to go beyond the law after he loses a legal battle against a criminal mastermind Inba. Thereafter, the lawyer becomes the judge, jury, and executioner to deliver justice in his own way.

Ek Love Ya (Streaming on Zee5 from 8th April)

It’s a Kannada romantic thriller film that revolves around a bright student and aspiring lawyer Amar (played by Raanna), who resorts to alcoholism after heartbreak with his childhood romantic interest Anitha (Reeshma).

He wants to take revenge on the girl for his rejected love. But his life soon takes a drastic turn when he is accused of a crime he apparently did not commit.

Naradhan (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 8th April)

The film is a political thriller film whose story revolves around renowned news anchor Chandraprakash (played by Tovino Thomas). Owing to pressure from the top brass, he transforms himself into a morally compromised and ruthless journalist who can go to any lengths to be on the top spot in the cutthroat world of journalism.

Stand Up Rahul (Streaming on Aha Video from 8th April)

The Telugu romantic drama movie’s plot follows the titular protagonist Rahul (Raj Tharun), who is not in favor of getting married owing to his parent’s separation. But things begin to change when he falls in love with a girl Shreya (Varsha Bollama), who encourages him to tap his potential as a stand-up comedian.
