Top Indian Titles Streaming This Week On OTT: Gangubai Kathiawadi Etc

Last week was marked with the arrival of some exciting Indian OTT titles including several films and web series such as ‘Toolsidas Junior’, ‘London Files’, ‘Oh My Dog’, ‘Guilty Minds’, and ‘Anantham’, to name a few.

Likewise, the current week too has some eagerly anticipated OTT films and web series coming up. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top Indian titles streaming on OTT platforms this week.

Baked Season 3 (Streaming on Voot from 25th April)

The light-hearted comedy-drama show revolves around three flatmates and university friends. They meet up after seven years for a holiday in the hills, to get some respite from their routine work. Helmed by Vishwajoy Mukherjee, the web series features Pranay Manchanda, Shantanu Anam, Manik Papneja, and Kriti Vij in the lead roles.

Anupama: Namaste America (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 25th April)

Following the immense success of the Star Plus TV show ‘Anupamaa’, the web series ‘Anupama: Namaste America’ is a prequel to ‘Anupamaa’. The web series features Rupali Ganguly as the protagonist and follows her early marital life seventeen years ago. The plot revolves around her journey to America to fulfill her dream and the various hurdles she must face.

Gangubai Kathiawadi (Streaming on Netflix from 26th April)

Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film is somewhat based on Hussain Zaidi’s 2011 non-fiction crime novel ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai’ (a chapter). The film follows the story of a woman named Ganga Harjivandas from Kathiawad who belongs to a wealthy family. But, after being sold to a brothel in Kamathipura, she eventually transforms into a formidable power to reckon with and becomes a madame in a red-light area.

Mishan Impossible (Streaming on Netflix from 29th April)

The film is a comedy thriller whose story revolves around three young boys named Raghupati, Raghava, and Raja Ram who undertake a mission to track India’s most wanted person Dawood Ibrahim for the prize money of Rs. 50 lakhs. While an investigative journalist Shailaja (Taapsee Pannu), who is on a mission to crack a child trafficking racket crosses paths with them. The film has been directed by Swaroop Rsj, of ‘Agent Sai Srinivasa’ fame.

Never Kiss Your Best Friend Season 2 (Streaming on Zee5 from 29th April)

The romantic comedy web series revolves around the relationship between a best-selling author Tanie Brar (Anya Singh) and her best friend turned romantic interest Sumer (Nakuul Mehta). Following their break-up, the lovers reunite after two years. The series also features Sarah Jane Dias, Karan Wahi, and Jaaved Jaaferi in important roles.
