Top Netflix Releases This Week (April 21 – 27)

Netflix promises to deliver some pretty exciting OTT titles this week (April 21–27). From a highly anticipated Japanese action thriller to the final appearance of Joe Goldberg, from Tom Hardy beating the living hell out of crooked villains to Saif Ali Khan plotting to steal the Red Sun, the streamer has plenty of entertainment in store. Let’s take a look!

Bullet Train Explosion (April 23)

A high-speed Hayabusa Shinkansen train to Tokyo is rigged with a bomb that will explode if its speed drops below 100 km/h. As a bomber demands a ¥100 billion ransom, the crew and authorities must urgently work to locate the culprit and disarm the device to save the passengers.

Led by Tsuyoshi Kusanagi, this Shinji Higuchi movie takes inspiration from the classic 1975 movie The Bullet Train, directed by Junya Sato. 

Carlos Alcaraz: My Way (April 23)

This documentary goes behind the scenes with Carlos Alcaraz, revealing his life off the court as an ordinary individual and highlighting his extraordinary achievements on the court, where he became the youngest-ever world No. 1 tennis player.

You Season 5 (April 24)

Back in New York City, hoping for a peaceful life, Joe Goldberg finds his efforts jeopardized by his perilous history and persistent yearnings. You Season 5 marks the final appearance of Penn Badgley as Joe Goldberg. Alongside him, we will see talents such as Charlotte Ritchie, Madeline Brewer, Griffin Matthews, and Anna Camp. 

Havoc (April 25)

A drug deal gone violently wrong forces a weary police officer to navigate a corrupt city’s criminal network in a desperate attempt to rescue a politician’s son. 

Talented Tom Hardy leads this action-packed, violent thriller, helmed by none other than Gareth Evans, who is best known for directing The Raid movies. Other talents featuring in this one are Forest Whitaker, Jessie Mei Li, Timothy Olyphant, Justin Cornwell, and more. 

Jewel Thief (April 25)

Master con artist Rehan (Saif Ali Khan) orchestrates a clever diamond robbery while locked in a fierce battle of wits and wills against his sadistic foe, Rajan (Jaideep Ahlawat). The rest of the cast includes Nikita Dutta and Kunal Kapoor. This project is produced by Siddharth Anand under his Marflix Pictures banner, with music from Sachin-Jigar. 

Weak Hero Class 2 (Season 2) (April 25)

A talented yet shy student, helped by surprising allies, stands up to bullies and aggressive enemies, oblivious to the escalating danger that awaits him. The upcoming Class 2 (Season 2) of the popular K-drama series is brimmed with sensational talents like Park Ji Hoon, Choi Min Yeong, Bae Na Ra, Ryeo Un, Lee Min Jae, Lee Jun Young, and more.
