Top OTT Titles Streaming Today: Avrodh S2, Money Heist Korea Etc

Friday is invariably an exciting day for OTT viewers and today is no exception. Some eagerly anticipated Indian and foreign films and series have already been or will be released today as well on various Indian OTT platforms. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top streaming titles (in no particular order) that are already out or will be out on Indian OTT platforms today.

Avrodh Season-2 (Streaming on SonyLIV)

The second season of the military drama web series is inspired by ninth chapter of Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh’s book ‘India’s Most Fearless’. Helmed by Raj Acharya, the show ostensibly revolves around enemy’s planned attack on the Indian economy by way of counterfeit notes and how some of the country’s best men make it their mission to avert the attack at all costs.

Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area (Streaming on Netflix)

Set in the Korean peninsula, the Korean remake/spinoff of the cult Spanish heist show ‘Money Heist’ ostensibly follows a similar hostage situation plotline masterminded by an enigmatic genius The Professor (Yoo Ji-tae) and his attempt to pull off a virtually impossible heist with the help of his skilled team.

Forensic (Streaming on Zee5)

Helmed by Vishal Furia, it’s a crime thriller film which revolves around a forensic expert (played by Vikrant Massey) and a female cop (Radhika Apte), who team up to catch the culprit behind a series of disappearances of young girls in Mussoorie.

Man Vs Bee (Streaming on Netflix)

Directed by David Kerr (Johnny English Strikes Again), the British comedy series features acclaimed performer Rowan Atkinson as Trevor, who gets into a battle with a seemingly innocent and harmless bee while house-sitting a luxurious mansion owned by Nina (Jing Lusi). Will he outwit the clever bee or end up doing more damage?

Runway 34 (Non-rent streaming on Amazon Prime Video)

Helmed by Ajay Devgn, it’s a high-octane, edge-of-the-seat thriller drama that revolves around the workings of the aviation industry and is inspired by real-life events. The plot follows a gifted pilot who somehow lands a plane despite terrible weather conditions along with co-pilot Tanya (Rakul Preet Singh). The narrow escape is followed by a thorough investigation led by Narayan Vedant (Amitabh Bachchan).

The Man from Toronto (Streaming on Netflix)

Directed by Patrick Hughes (The Hitman’s Bodyguard), the action-comedy film follows a case of mistaken identity between a deadly assassin (played by Woody Harrelson) and a down-on-luck New York man (reputedly played by Kevin Hart), while they happen to be at the same Airbnb rental.

Boundless (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video)

Helmed by ‘Con Air’ director Simon West, the ship-voyage adventure series is set in the 1500s and revolves around the Spanish explorer Juan Sebastián Elcano (played by Alvaro Morte) and Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan’s (Rodrigo Santoro) first circumnavigation around the world. Unfortunately, only one of them returned alive.

The Chi Season-5 (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar)

Created by Emmy winner Lena Waithe, the coming-of-age drama series focuses on life on the Southside of Chicago and how it unexpectedly connects the lives of the several characters residing in the tough neighbourhood.

Pelli SandaD (Streaming on Zee5)

It’s a romantic comedy film whose plot revolves around how an award-winning Basketball player Vashishta narrates his love story with Sahasra to a budding filmmaker Maya and the various challenges that he had to overcome.

Manmatha Leela (Streaming on Aha Video)

Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the romantic thriller movie narrates the story of the protagonist Sathya (played by Ashok Selvan) in two different timelines – 2010 and 2020. In 2010, he was a spoiled brat while in 2020, he is married and is a successful entrepreneur. But how one bad decision can affect his lives in both the timelines, forms the film’s basic plotline.

Kathir (Streaming on Aha Video)

The film follows the story of the titular protagonist Kathir (Venkatesh), a distressed engineering graduate who relocates to Chennai to search for a job. There, he meets an older woman Savithri (Rajini Chandy), whose inspiring story changes his outlook towards his own life.

Kuttavum Shikshayum (Streaming on Netflix)

Directed by Rajeev Ravi, the film is apparently based on the real-life jewellery robbery that happened in Kerala a few years back. The police procedural story follows an investigation by a five-member police team from the Kerala Police led by Circle Inspector Sajan Philip (played by Asif Ali). After learning that the culprits belong to a remote North Indian village, the police team heads to Uttar Pradesh to solve the case.

Meri Awas Suno (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar)

The musical drama movie features Jayasurya as a radio jockey Shankar, who is devastated after learning that because of his chain-smoking habit, he will lose his voice following a serious diagnosis. While he and his family are struggling to come to terms with the life-changing news, a speech therapist Reshmi (Manju Warrior) enter Shankar’s life as a ray of hope for him and to help him move forward with his new life.

Chloe (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video)

The six-part British psychological thriller revolves around an unhappy and reclusive woman named Becky (Erin Doherty), who is obsessed with the seemingly perfect life of the titular character Chloe, her close friend from childhood. But when Chloe unexpectedly dies, she begins to investigate her life by using a new identity.

Rise (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar)

Helmed by Akin Omotoso, the biographical sports drama revolves around the true story of three brothers who relocate from Nigeria to USA and put their football skills to good use to become National Football Association (NBA) champions.

Press Play (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video)

It’s a romantic drama movie which follows the story of two music-loving lovers Laura and Harrison. When Harrison meets with a fatal accident, his girlfriend discovers that she can travel back in time though a mixtape. Whether or not she is able to save her lover forms the film’s crux.

Trevor: The Musical (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar)

Based on the 1995 Oscar-winning short film ‘Trevor’, the filmed version of the Off-Broadway stage production of the same name follows the story of an imaginative 13-year-old boy named Trevor, who struggles during his teenage days and how he discovers himself during the 1980s period.

Loot (Streaming on Apple TV+)

The comedy series features Maya Rudolph as Molly Novak, a billionaire woman whose life takes a drastic turn after divorcing her husband and getting a whopping $87 billion in settlement. What she does with the massive money and how she explores her life ostensibly forms the show’s basic story.
