Friday is invariably an exciting day for OTT viewers and today is no exception. Some eagerly anticipated Indian and foreign films and series have already been or will be released today as well on various Indian OTT platforms. Citadel (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video)
The sci-fi spy series features Scottish actor Richard Madden (‘Bodyguard’, ‘Game of Thrones’) and Indian actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas (‘The White Tiger’, ‘Quantico’) in the lead roles. Richard Madden plays the role of Citadel agent Mason Kane, an amnesiac who does not remember his previous life.
Viduthalai Part-1 (Streaming on Zee5)
The period crime thriller movie follows the story of an upright and righteous police driver Kumareson (played by Soori). After a deadly train bombing, the newly recruited police constable becomes a part of a mission called ‘Operation Ghosthunt’ to capture Perumal Vaathiyar (Vijay Sethupathi) – the leader of the revolutionary group.
Thuramukham (Streaming on SonyLIV)
Set in the 1950s period, the film’s plot revolves around how labourers’ union made a desperate effort and protested to change the abhorrent system of giving out work to port labourers through a system called the ‘Chappa’ (tickets) system in Kochi. In this system, labourers were forced to fight against each other in order to get copper tokens for low-paid jobs at the harbour.
Peter Pan & Wendy (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar)
The fantasy movie follows the adventures of a righteous girl Wendy (Ever Anderson), who travels to Neverland with Peter Pan (Alexander Molony), a boy who does not want to grow up. It also features Jude Law as the antagonist pirate Captain Hook.
U-Turn (Streaming on Zee5)
The mystery thriller movie features Alaya F as an intern journalist who somehow ends up becoming the main suspect for the murder of a motorist while investigating the case of bike riders flouting U-turn traffic rules on a flyover.
Ved (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar)
The Marathi language romantic drama movie follows the story of a talented cricketer Satya (Riteish Deshmukh), who has been waiting for his big break. But after a wrong accusation against him, Satya’s life takes an adverse turn. The movie also features Genelia Deshmukh and Jiya Shankar in important roles.
Vyavastha (Streaming on Zee5)
The Telugu legal drama web series is about how an under confident and stuttering lawyer takes up the case for his former love interest which pits him against a ruthless and experienced lawyer. It features Sampath Raj, Karthik Rathnam, and Hebah Patel in the lead roles.
Ravanasura (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video)
The action thriller movie features Ravi Teja in the role of a goofy junior criminal lawyer who takes up a mysterious murder case after falling in love with the accused’s daughter.
AKA (Streaming on Netflix)
The French action thriller movie follows the story of a Special Ops agent (played by former stuntman Alban Lenoir), who infiltrates a criminal organization and unexpectedly forms an emotional connection with the boss’s young son.
Dr. Romantic Season-3 (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar)
The Korean series focuses on a new chapter in the lives of Dr Kim (Suk Kyu), a surgeon, and a team of doctors who passionately work together to save the lives of patients in a hospital.
Pakalum Pathiravum (Streaming on Zee5)
The Malayalam action thriller movie revolves around a wildlife photographer Michael (played by Kunchacko Boban). He is travelling from Kochi to Mysore but when his bike malfunctions, he stays at a small-time farmer’s home amidst the Maoist affection region of Wayanad.
Staffroom (Streaming on Amazon miniTV)
The web series revolves around the staffroom of a school named JPP school where all the latest gossip among the teachers takes place.
