Govinda Mera Naam (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar)
Shashank Khaitaan’s comedy thriller movie revolves around the life of Govinda Waghmare (Vicky Kaushal), who tries to balance his relationship with his wife Mrs. Waghmare (played by Bhumi Pednekar) and his girlfriend (played by Kiara Advani). And in doing that, Govinda’s life becomes a rigmarole of chaos and confusion leading to hilarious results.
Bardo (Streaming on Netflix)
Directed by Alejandro G. Inarritu, the dark comedy drama movie follows a reputed Mexican journalist and documentary filmmaker, who must return to his native place where he experiences an existential crisis. Now, he must deal with his past, present and his identity.
Indian Predator: Beasts of Bangalore (Streaming on Netflix)
The fourth instalment of the true crime documentary ‘Indian Predator’ series follows the chilling account of a former police officer, who committed the brutal murders of multiple women in the 1990s in Bangalore. His victims included single women, widows, and housewives. He was caught several times by the police but managed to escape five times before finally getting caught in 2002.
The Recruit (Streaming on Netflix)
The eight-episode spy adventure series revolves around a rookie lawyer at the CIA Owen Hendricks (played by Noah Centineo), whose life takes a U-turn when a former asset threatens to expose her relationship with the agency unless her name gets cleared.
Ariyippu aka Declaration (Streaming on Netflix)
Mahesh Narayanan’s critically acclaimed slice-of-life drama movie revolves around an immigrant and struggling married couple Harish (played by Kunchacko Boban) and Reshmi (Divya Prabha) who are from Kerala and presently working near Delhi in a medical gloves factory. They want to go to a foreign country for better job prospects. But, after an old video featuring Reshmi gets manipulated and goes viral, the couple’s relationship and their jobs come under severe stress.
Nanny (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video)
The horror movie follows the story of an immigrant from Senegal named Aisha, who gets the job of a nanny in an affluent family in New York City. Aisha also wants her son from West Africa to settle in America. However, an unanticipated and violent presence threatens to crush her dreams.
Code Name: Tiranga (Streaming on Netflix)
Helmed by Ribhu Dasgupta, the spy action movie follows the story of a spy – Indian Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) agent (played by Parineeti Chopra), who must race against time to complete an important mission for her country. The film also features Harrdy Sandhu, Sharad Kelkar, Rajit Kapur, Dibyendu Bhattacharya in pivotal roles.
Kalaga Thalaivan (Streaming on Netflix)
The action thriller movie revolves around a man named Thirumaaran (Udhayanidhi Stalin), who works in a heavy vehicle manufacturing company, which launches high-mileage trucks. But when the news about these trucks emitting high quantities of pollutants comes out, the owner hires an assassin to track down the whistle-blower responsible for it.
Ananta (The Eternal) (Streaming on Zee5)
The Bengali language romantic drama movie revolves around the unique relationship between an out-of-work, lonely man named Suvo (Ritwik Chakraborty) and a schoolteacher Mistu (Sohini Sarkar). They meet in a staircase daily but without much interaction. But the story takes an interesting turn when Mistu suddenly disappears.
A Storm for Christmas (Streaming on Netflix)
The holiday drama series focuses on a group of people including travellers and employees who get stranded at Oslo airport due to a severe snowstorm, just hours before Christmas arrives.
Half Pants Full Pants (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video)
The eight-part comedy drama series is set in the period before the advent of the internet and smartphones. The story follows a seven-year-old boy Dabba, who lives in a small South Indian town and how he tries to bring glory to his middle-class family by way of his imaginative ways. It features Ashwanth Ashok Kumar, Sonali Kulkarni, and Ashish Vidyarthi, amongst others.
The Pact Season-2 (Streaming on Lionsgate Play)
The second season of the show follows a new story in which a social worker named Christine and her three children Will, Jamie, and Megan are trying to come to terms with the death of the fourth child Liam. However, their loyalties are tested after the arrival of a stranger.
The Volcano: Rescue from Whakaari (Streaming on Netflix)
Directed by Rory Kennedy, the documentary film focuses on the tragic Whakaari / White Island volcanic eruption which happened in New Zealand in the year 2019. It has been narrated by way of a detailed account given by the survivors and rescuers.
