Kaun Pravin Tambe? (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar)

The film narrates the incredible underdog story of Indian cricketer Pravin Tambe, who had made his cricket league debut at the age of 41. Interestingly, he had not even played any international or first-class cricket match before that. Shreyas Talpade, who has previously essayed a cricketer’s role in Nagesh Kukunoor’s ‘Iqbal’, had stepped into the shoes of Pravin Tambe for the film.

Radhe Shyam (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video)

Written and directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, ‘Radhe Shyam’ is a period romance drama set in 1970s Europe. The film’s plot follows the story of a gifted palmist Vikramaditya (Prabhas) who does not believe in long-lasting romantic relationships. However, things change when he falls for a beautiful female doctor Prerna (Pooja Hedge).

Bheeshma Parvam (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar)

Helmed by Amal Neerad, the film is a gangster drama starring veteran actor Mammootty in the lead role. Set in 1980s Kochi, the film’s plot is somewhat inspired by The Godfather and the Indian epic Mahabharata. It revolves around its protagonist Michael, the respected and equally feared head of the Anjootti family, and how some of his own family members join hands with his enemies to end the patriarch’s reign.

Drive My Car (Streaming on Mubi)

Based on Haruki Murakami’s short story of the same name, the Oscar-winning Japanese road movie follows a respected stage actor-director Yusuke Kafuku, who gets an offer to direct a play at Horsohima’s theatre festival while still dealing with his wife’s unexpected demise two years ago. At the festival, he meets a reticent woman named Misaki, his chauffeur, who helps him tackle the mystery left behind by his wife.

The Bubble (Streaming on Netflix)

Helmed by Judd Apatow (The 40-Year-Old Virgin), the meta-comedy movie revolves around the cast and crew of a blockbuster dinosaur-themed film franchise ‘Cliff Beasts’. They attempt to complete the film’s sixth installment amidst the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic.
