Friday is invariably an exciting day for OTT viewers and today is no exception. Some eagerly anticipated Indian and foreign films and series have already been or will be released today as well on various Indian OTT platforms. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top streaming titles (in no particular order) that are already out or will be out on Indian OTT platforms today.

The Broken News (Streaming on Zee5)

An adaptation of the British series ‘Press’, ‘The Broken News’ revolves around two ideologically different and rival new channels Awaaz Bharati and Josh 24/7 news. While the former is a righteous organization led by Amina Qureshi (Sonali Bendre), the latter is a TRP hungry network headed by Dipankar Sanyal’s (Jaideep Ahlawat). It also features ‘Mirzapur’ actress Shriya Pilgaonkar as a news anchor in the show.

Peaky Blinders Season-6 (Streaming on Netflix)

The series, set in 1900s Birmingham (England), takes place after the events of the first World War. It follows the story of the titular gang that is fiercely led by Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy). On the trail of the ambitious and ruthless gangster of the Shelby family, is the chief inspector Chester Campbell (Sam Neill), who is entrusted with getting rid of the criminal activities in the city of Birmingham. The sixth season is set from December 1933 onwards and currently holds 100% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Ardh (Streaming on Zee5)

The film follows the story of Shiva (Rajpal Yadav), a struggling actor who relocates to Mumbai with the dream of making it big as a mainstream actor. However, to survive in the city of dreams, he masquerades as a transgender and begs for money in traffic signals and local trains in Mumbai. Rubina Dilaik plays the role of his wife Madhu.

First Kill (Streaming on Netflix)

The supernatural teen drama show follows a young Vampire named Juliette who is preparing herself for her first kill in order to cement her place in her formidable Vampire family. She targets a girl named Calliope as her first victim. But the latter turns out to be a Vampire hunter who belongs to a renowned family of Vampire killers, and she is also gearing up for her first kill.

Twenty One Gms (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar)

After a series of murders over a period of one week sends shock waves in Cochin city, super-cop DySP Nanda Kishore (Anoop Menon) is given the task of nabbing the culprit. He is already dealing with the death of a family member. As he delves deeper into the mystery, he realizes that there is more to the case than meets the eye.

For All Mankind Season-3 (Streaming on Apple TV+)

The sci-fi drama series explores the concept of reimagined alternate histories where the USSR had supposedly beaten the USA in their space race to the Moon back in the 1960s. The latest season is set in the 90s and revolves around the efforts of three major space players – USA, Russia, and a private entity with the mission to land first in Mars.

Feels Like Home (Streaming on Lionsgate Play)

The light-hearted and fun-filled series narrates the story of four bachelors who move into their first home together and how they deal with their quotidian lives and find comfort in each other while being away from their own homes.

Ayngaran (Streaming on Aha Video)

Helmed by Ravi Asaru, the action thriller movie follows the story of a gifted mechanical engineer named Mathi (played by GV Prakash), whose efforts to get a patent for his inventions do not succeed. How he becomes involved with a poultry farm owner, gang of thieves, and a kid trapped inside a borewell pit, forms the rest of the film’s plot. Mahima Nambiar plays the female lead in the film.

Trees of Peace (Streaming on Netflix)

Set against the brutal backdrop of the 1994 Rwandan genocide and inspired by true incidents, the film revolves around four women from different walks of life. How they form a strong bond amongst themselves while fighting for their survival and hiding in Rwanda during the genocide forms the film’s underlying premise.

Udan Patolas (Streaming on Amazon miniTV)

The six-part web series follows the journey of four girls from Punjab who relocate to Mumbai to start a new chapter in their lives. How they deal with various personal and professional problems, their friendship, and other relationships, forms the show’s crux. Adapted from the Israeli TV show ‘Honey Badgers’, the show features Apoorva Arora, Poppy Jabbal, Aassttha Sidana and Sukhmani Sadana in the main roles.

Cyber Vaar (Streaming on Voot)

The web series revolves around a cop named ACP Akash Malik (Mohit Malik) and a cyber expert Ananya Saini (Sanaya Irani), who join hands to take on the ever-increasing menace of cybercrime in Mumbai city. Will their hi-tech team called T.R.A.C.E be able to stop the new kind of elusive criminals?

Don (Streaming on Netflix)

The campus comedy movie features Sivakarthikeyan in the role of a carefree engineering college student who comes from an ordinary middle-class family with a stern father. While figuring out his ambition in college, he must deal with another problem – the head of the college discipline committee Bhoominathan.

Jo and Jo (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video)

Set amidst the backdrop of pandemic induced lockdown, the Malayalam language comedy drama movie revolves around the story of two siblings – Jomon (Mathew Thomas) and his elder sister Jomol (Nikhila Vimal) and their rivalry because of certain issues. The plot takes an interesting turn when a love letter turns up with just the name ‘Jo’, which can belong to either of them.

Shining Vale (Streaming on Lionsgate Play)

The nine-part comedy horror fantasy series revolves around a dysfunctional family who relocate to a small town in a place with a terrifying past. One of the family members Pat (Courteney Cox) begins to notice that there’s something seriously wrong with her.

Kinnerasani (Streaming on Zee5)

Helmed by Ramana Teja, the romantic thriller movie features Ann Sheetal as Veda, who is on a quest to find her father. When she gets hold of a book that may have answers to her questions, a lawyer named Venkat (Kalyan Dev) protects her while trying to avenge the death of his lover.

Pathrosinte Padappukal (Streaming on Zee5)

The Malayalam language comedy drama movie revolves around the Pathrose family and the second of the four children named Tony (played by Dinoy Paulose). Tony is portrayed as a carefree and easy-going character who enjoys life to the fullest. The plot takes an interesting turn after the arrival of Tony’s grandmother.

Refugee (Streaming on Hoichoi)

The thriller series follows the story of a drug dealer who gets involved with a dangerous conspiracy relating to the third generation of freedom fighters.

Intimacy (Streaming on Netflix)

The eight-part Spanish drama series revolves around how a promising female politician’s life is turned upside down after her sex tape is leaked to the public. How she fights back with her career at stake forms the show’s underlying premise.
