Khuda Haafiz, as seen on the trailer, is set in the time line of March 2008 when the world was dealing with economic crisis. The couple, Sameer (Vidyut Jammwal) and Nargis (Shivaleeka Oberoi), take on a journey to a middle eastern country for better career prospects. But due to certain issues Nargis had to leave a few days before Sameer.
Sameer later receives a distress call from Nargis wanting to return home and this was the turning point of Khuda Haafiz, where a lover decides to set on his journey to bring back his love at any cost. On reaching there Sameer discovers that his wife has been held captive as a prostitute by a dangerous man. The rest of the trailer is all about intense drama and powerful action that goes in the rescue process.
Vidyut at one point is seen in local police’s custody being interrogated. Khuda Haafiz will be worth watching for how he escapes from all the threat and danger and reunites with the love of his life. The trailer looks pretty promising with all those fight scenes but nowhere leaving behind the drama sequence.
Khuda Haafiz will start streaming on Disney+Hotstar from 14th August 2020.
