Netflix dropped in the main trailer for its first Norwegian original film Cadaver and its real spine-chillingly spooky. Young and talented Jarand Herdal has written as well as directed Cadaver that will premiere globally on Netflix on 22nd October, 2020.
Cadaver, a “Norwegian psychological horror film that takes us on a journey where humanity is being put to a test”, sets right in the Halloween theme. It features Gitte Witt (The impossible), Thorbjørn Harr (Vikings, July 22), Thomas Gullestad (The 12th Man) and Kingsford Siayor (Home For Christmas).
The trailer begins with a setting in a post nuclear disaster starving world where Leonora (Gitte Witt), Jacob (Thomas Gullestad) and their daughter Alice (Tuva Olivia Remman) are struggling to survive. When invited by a local hotel to watch a play and enjoy a meal for free, they couldn’t help but agree.
The play’s director, Mathias (Thorbjørn Harr), describes the whole hotel as a stage and to differentiate from the actors, the viewers are provided with a golden mask. But things turn creepy and weird when the members of the audience start disappearing. For the family of three, reality and theatre merge when their daughter vanishes right in front of them. “Will they wind up the spectators or the spectacle?”

Cadaver has been produced by Motion Blur Film’s Espen Horn and Kristian Strand Sinkerud. The same company is also producing another newly announced Norwegian Netflix feature film “Troll” and an untitled Netflix original series.
Cadaver will exclusively premiere on Netflix globally on 22nd October, 2020.
