MX Player is out and about with the trailer of its latest original series “High” and this crime-thriller drama is filled with high intensity cat and mouse chase and some pretty brutal action sequences.
The trailer begins with a lady telling someone about a new green pill that has hit the drug market. This latest drug has caused waves in the dirty underground drug business. But then we go into a flashback where we find Shiv Mathur (Akshay Oberoi), an addict who has been familiar with all and every kind of drug and the related terms, ending up in a rehab facility.
“The rehab is run by Doctor Roy (Prakash Belawadi) and two other junior doctors, Shweta (Shweta Basu Prasad) and Nakul (Nakul Mehta).” The trio is able to make a mysterious compound derived from a native plant that is so powerful that it just kills the urge for any other drug!
When they start sending this drug-“Magic” into the public for sampling, it becomes an instant and huge hit. The very existence of this drug then starts causing disruptions in the highly dangerous and illegal drug market. And very soon gets noticed by some lethal enemies including a professional assasin, Lakda (Ranvir Shorey), appointed for the very purpose of finding and killing those involved with “Magic”.
This magic pill is a cut above the rest but this very fact kills many, is it worth it though? “Will Shiv and the gang be able to achieve their dream? Or will they be eliminated?”

Directed by Nikhil Rao, MX Player’s “High” has an ensemble cast of Akshay Oberoi, Ranvir Shorey, Mrinmayee Godbole, Shweta Basu Prasad, Kunal Naik, Prakash Belawadi, Nakul Bhalla, Mantra and Madhur Mittal.
“High” is all set to launch exclusively on MX Player on 7th October, 2020.
