Money Heist has quickly become one of the world’s most well-loved TV shows, often spoken of in the same breath as other iconic shows such as Breaking Bad and Stranger Things. Called La Casa de Papel in Spanish, which is the language it is filmed in, Money Heist returns for Season 4 on 3rd April. Netflix has just dropped a trailer for the new season, and it clearly tells us that Season 4 is poised to be as spectacular as the previous seasons.
The scenes that the trailer reveals hold us in thrall. Picking up from the final moments of Season 3, the trailer begins with Nairobi fighting for her life, as the gang tries to stem the blood gushing from her wounds. On the other hand, Lisbon is caught in a conundrum. She’s in the custody Inspector Alicia Sierra, the pregnant police officer who entered the series in Season 3, and asked to choose between her family’s life and squealing on the Professor.
The most shocking revelation is of the return of Berlín, The Professor’s older brother, presumed dead in Season 2. Or maybe his scenes are simply flashbacks. We’ll have to wait for the show to start streaming to find out the truth.
The Professor is on the run, his camera connections are cut off by Gandía, a meddling guard at the bank, and the gang has to pull off the heist on its own with no Professor to guide them. Gandía makes matters worse by capturing Tokyo.
There’s plenty of action, twists and violence to keep viewers glued to their seats. Nothing rings truer than when the trailer says, “Let the chaos begin”. Season 4 certainly seems to be packed to the brim with oodles of chaos and tons of thrills.
Money Heist Season 4 premieres on Netflix on April 3, 2020.
