Trailer Talk: More Intense and Desperate For The Boys In Season 2

Amazon Prime Video dropped in the teaser trailer of season 2 of ‘The Boys‘, adapted from a gritty comic book series, to premier on September 4. The boys are back in town and seem to have gotten famous, not in a good way though. A bloody manhunt is on for Butcher (played by Karl Urban) and his anti-superhero mates.

The new season “finds The Boys on the run from the law, hunted by the Supes, and desperately trying to regroup and fight back against Vought,” per the official synopsis. “In hiding, Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso), Frenchie (Tomer Capon) and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) try to adjust to a new normal, with Butcher (Karl Urban) nowhere to be found.”

As far as the superheroes are concerned, “Starlight (Erin Moriarty) must navigate her place in The Seven as Homelander (Antony Starr) sets his sights on taking complete control. His power is threatened with the addition of Stormfront (Aya Cash), a social media-savvy new Supe, who has an agenda of her own. On top of that, the Supervillain threat takes center stage and makes waves as Vought seeks to capitalize on the nation’s paranoia.”

In the trailer, the super powers are all over the place, there are gruesome killings taking place and superheroes are seen propagating their agendas powerfully. The Boys isn’t for those who are weak hearted as it comes out with tremendous force. This season is more intense, more desperate as The Boys reel from their losses in the previous season.

The Boys returns with season 2 on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, Sept. 4, with three episodes. A new installment will then debut every Friday until the season finale on Oct. 9.
