Trailer Talk: Netflix’s ‘Mismatched’ Is A Potpourri Of College, Coding & Life

Netflix dropped the trailer for its latest original series ‘Mismatched‘ and this romantic comedy is all about college life and the dilemmas of a youngster’s life. Full of fresh, young and talented faces ‘Mismatched’ will premiere exclusively on Netflix on 20th November, 2020.

The story of ‘Mismatched’ follows Dimple (Prajakta Koli) and Rishi (Rohit Saraf). While Dimple is a career oriented girl who wants to study JAVA, do a PhD and make apps, Rishi is quite the opposite and believes in old school love and marriage. They both end up in a 103-year old school, where Rishi comes only for Dimple, but their meeting gets dramatic when Dimple throws coffee at Rishi’s face for addressing her as his future wife.

While Dimple’s mother does not believe that she can make a name in the field and wants her to get married, Dimple is not willing to give up on her dreams. And just then a big opportunity comes up when their snarky yet charismatic professor Sid (Rannvijay Singha) tells them that over a period of three months they need to pair up in teams of two and develop an app.

A group of individuals with different personalities have now need to come together to avail a really cool internship opportunity. The pairs include – Anmol (Taaruk Raina) and Zeenat (Vidya Malvade), Celina (Muskkaan Jaferi) and Namrata (Devyani Shorey), Simran (Kritika Bharadwaj) and Harsh (Vihaan Samat) and finally Dimple and Rishi.

But this app development isn’t gonna be an easy task. There will be failures and a lot of emotional ups and downs that are going to drive their decisions. The trailer gives a glimpse of college life experiences and all the good and bad that comes along with it. Some may find love and acceptance along the way, while some might almost mess it all up.

All in all ‘Mismatched‘ on Netflix is about college, coding, romance and friendship. Will Rishi, who believes in happily ever after and Dimple, a tech wizard be able to come on the same page? “Will they succeed in landing their dream project, while dealing with friends, bullies, a snooty professor and… each other?”

Directed by Akarsh Khurana and Nipun Dharmadhikari, Mismatched on Netflix features Prajakta Koli, Rohit Saraf, Rannvijay Singha, Vihaan Samat, Taaruk Raina, Kritika Bharadwaj, Muskkaan Jaferi, Devyani Shorey Abhinav Sharma, Vidya Malvade.
