Trailer Analysis
After watching the trailer I felt like I watched the trailer for two different movies in a single trailer , but that’s the magic of the director . The trailer starts off lightly with a budding romance between a young woman in her mid twenties and a widower Maxim de Winter . They both spend some quality time with each other and slowly starts getting closer . There comes a time when Maxim proposes her and she agrees despite several cautions from people about Maxim being a widower . The married couple comes to Manderley which is Maxim’s family estate beside the English coast.
She starts to adjust into her new life and not seeing a house with such greatness she becomes nervous at first . She is acquainted by the house maid Mrs. Danvers who isn’t quite fond of her . Infact all she talks about is the greatness of Maxim’s first wife Rebecca who according to her was the perfect match for Maxim who died under mysterious circumstances and no one could ever take her place . She is torn between the secrets of the house and about Rebecca’s death which ultimately puts a strain in her marriage life . With the housekeeper despising her continuously with the continuous greatness of Rebecca she starts to lose her mind and starts hallucinating about Rebecca and forms a goal in her mind which is to find more about Rebecca despite of the hallucinations or ghostly appearances.
The music in the trailer has been used beautifully to create eerieness in the scenes which will be very essential to build up a scene . The music is where the film is going to score ( no pun intended ) . But it is the plus point of the already great looking film.
Final words
The movie sure as hell looks exciting from the trailer and it is going to be streamed in Netflix from October 21st 2020.
