Trailer Talk: New Season of Four More Shots Please Promises A Riot of Emotions, Drama and Fun

Trailer Talk: New Season of Four More Shots Please Promises A Riot of Emotions, Drama and Fun

Amazon Prime Video today dropped the trailer of the much-awaited Season 2 of Four More Shots Please, promising all that the show stands for.
The trailer starts off in Istanbul, where Siddhi (Maanvi Gagroo) is holed up, presumably, to hide from the situation she finds herself at the end of Season 1. But all is hunky dory with Siddhi, who, along with her bffs Damini (Sayani Gupta), Anjana (Kirti Kulhari) and Umang (Bani J), hits the good life in Istanbul.

The story shifts to graver topics. Anjana must fight in the court with her ex-husband Varun (Neil Bhoopalam) for the custody of her child. Damini is caught between her two lovers, her gynac (Milind Soman) and bar-owner Jeh (Prateik Babbar). She also has to make something of her career. Oh yes, she writes a potentially best-selling book, but the trailer doesn’t reveal the fate of that one.

Umang has seemingly hit a happy note with her Bollywood superstar lover (Lisa Ray) and Siddhi is on her way to a flourishing stand-up comedy career. But is everything really so ideal and perfect in the girls’ lives? Or is there more at play here? We can only find out once the show drops on Amazon Prime Video.

Going by the trailer, the girls have given up trying to please the misogynistic people in their lives, and learnt to live their lives the way they please. The trailer is a riot of vivid colours, gorgeous shots and opulent images, rich in drama and emotion.

Samir Kochhar is the new entrant in Season 2, while all the actors of Season 1 return to the show. We caught glimpses of Amrita Puri, Simone Singh and Ankur Rathi in the trailer.

The show is produced by Pritish Nandy Communications, directed by Anu Menon and written by Devika Bhagat and Ishita Moitra. Rangita Pritish Nandy is the showrunner.

Four More Shots Please Season 2 premieres on Amazon Prime Video on 17th April 2020.
