Voot Select today released the trailer and premiere date of its upcoming web series, The Raikar Case. The series will premiere on the OTT platform on 9th April, and going by the trailer, it promises a gripping thriller with crazy twists and turns in the storyline.

The trailer starts with Tarun, who’s the youngest member of the Naik Raikar family of Goa, committing suicide. But not before blaming his family for it. The police refuse to believe that it is a suicide. Led by a determined police officer, played by Neil Bhoopalam, the police aims to get to the bottom of the sordid affair. Every member of the Raikar family is a suspect, starting with the patriarch, played by Atul Kulkarni.

The trailer builds up the suspense with each passing shot, introducing us to the protagonists, as it speeds by. There’s Kunal Karan Kapoor, making his way back to the screen after a long time. Parul Gulati has significant and considerable screen time. Both the aforementioned characters seem to be the voice of reason in the otherwise chaotic family.

There’s not a single soft moment in the trailer – the entire one and a half minute run time is taken up by dark, dangerous and damning sequences, which hook your attention and keep you captivated.

The Raikar Case also brings back into the limelight, former Bollywood actress Ashwini Bhave. She makes her web debut with the series, along with Kunal Karan Kapoor and popular Marathi actor Lalit Prabhakar.
The Raikar Case is touted to be based on a true story. It has been directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, written by Bijesh Jayarajan and Anaitha Nair and produced by Bodhi Tree Productions.

The Raikar Case arrives on Voot Select on 9th April. Have a glimpse of the trailer here –
