Trailer Talk: What’s Better Than One Lucifer? Two!!

Netflix dropped the official trailer of Lucifer’s season five and it is a BIG SUPRISE! We are sure what you are about to read is not something you had expected. Well, as you remember (spoiler alert for all those who have not watched its fourth season), at the end of season four Lucifer (Tom Ellis) goes back to hell, back to his throne and Chloe (Lauren German) is shattered. The promo shows how Chloe is trying to normalise Lucifer’s absence by keeping herself busy with work and partying with Maze (Lesly Ann Brandt). But Lucifer suddenly shows up at her crime scene! But…umm…it’s not really Lucifer, it’s his twin brother Michael AKA Lucifer 2.0! We are guessing the bond between those twins is not a good one because Michael is seen saying, “I am not gonna break Lucifer’s life, I am gonna take it.”

Lucifer stars Tom Ellis as the titular fallen angel Lucifer, the Lord of Hell, who, bored of his Lordship, relocates to LA, where he opens a nightclub called Lux. Lucifer leads a much more exciting life in LA, as he ends up collaborating with the LAPD, helping them solve twisted criminal cases, sometimes even of the dark, demonic and celestial kind.

The series, which originally aired on Fox TV, was cancelled due to poor ratings after three seasons, but was given a new lease of life by Netflix, which aired its fourth season, and will now stream the fifth season.

The fifth season was initially supposed to be of ten episodes but later was extended to sixteen. The episodes will release in two parts. Part one will be out on 21st August, 2020 with eight episodes. Also, another surprise – second part of season 5 will not be the last. Netflix has ordered season six, last and final. Are you happy or are you happy? While you guys wait for August 21st, tell us WHAT IS IT THAT YOU TRULY DESIRE?
