Travis Knight Directing New Masters Of The Universe?

Mattel has all the possibilities to create a universe like never before, with great variations. Competing with the Comic Book Universes, Mattel’s own Doll-Verse stands strong, and in the battle of supremacy, the Masters Of The Universe is a contender.

The film has been under speculation and in the works for a really long span of time. Now, there are some official updates that will definitely reshape the reboot.

Prior to all this, Netflix ditched the production after already investing $30M. Amazon was quick to pick it up despite aiming for a budget of $170M, seeing its potential.

Amidst all these uncertainties, talks are ongoing about finalizing the director, and it seems Travis Knight, the director of Bumblebee, is in negotiations. Both parties intend to be associated with the project.

Besides the directional changes, the draft is also taking a new shape. Chris Butler is currently working on the script, which was previously finalized by David Callaham. Adam and Aaron Nee are also involved.

Speaking of the director’s chair, Knight is definitely a good choice, experienced with the target audience. Moreover, Knight is known for restarting or rebooting franchises; he did it with the big franchise Transformers too.

How they will execute it is definitely a big question. However, if Amazon manages to advertise it well and the makers don’t fail while creating the show, He-Man will definitely have a successful run.
