‘Aadujeevitham’ (The Goat Life), directed by Blessy, tells the compelling story of Najeeb Muhammad’s struggle for survival. The film chronicles the journey of an immigrant from Kerala, Najeeb, who is in search of a brighter future. Portrayed by Prithviraj Sukumaran (@PrithviOfficial), Najeeb’s experiences are vividly depicted, capturing every detail of his hardships. With strong pre-box office sales of ₹8cr and upwards, the film is set to release worldwide today and is poised for a successful opening weekend.
However, the most recent concern being raised is the lack of subtitles in portions of the film. There are reports saying that the production team did not consider it to be a major factor as they have been slated for an all inclusive language release and dubbed regional versions. It was also reported that PVR Cinemas (_PVRCinemas) were selling tickets that mentioned the availability of subtitles, while the reality was the opposite. The executive team however, has made it clear that the portions where Arabic is spoken will remain sans subtitles, as it gives the viewers more depth into Najeeb’s confusion and helplessness during his dreadful time there.
Latest updates have confirmed that subtitles will be up and running for shows of all versions at the earliest by tomorrow. However, fans and viewers alike have taken to social media to let their voices be heard:
