Try Watching These 5 Fantasy Shows If You Loved ‘Rings of Power’

Season 1 of Prime Video’s ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’ concluded in a highly epic and satisfactory manner. The show has gained recognition for its visuals, musical score, cinematography, and performances. Not only we watched Celebrimbor forging the first rings in front of Galadriel and Elrond, but we also witnessed the rise of Sauron and Mordor.

Although, we have a fair idea about how the show will end. Rewatch the opening moments of Peter Jackson’s ‘The Fellowship of the Ring’ in case you forgot. The series has four more seasons to go. And it is a long wait. That’s why we have prepared a list of 5 breathtaking fantasy shows that you can watch apart from ‘Rings of Power’.

5. The Witcher (Netflix)

It is always a delight to watch Henry Cavill on the screen. And he has done a spectacular job in the show so far as Geralt of Rivia. You can see that he enjoys playing this character. The Man of Steel actor plays the eponymous ‘witcher’ in the show. He is a magically enhanced monster hunter who hunts down different monsters for coin. We see him meeting Ciri, Yennifer, the Lion Cub of Cintra, Jaskier the bard, and many more as the series progresses.

4. Sweet Tooth (Netflix)

The show revolves around Gus, an adorable half-deer boy who wants to discover the truth about his missing mother, Birdie. He lives in a world in which a dangerous viral pandemic wipes out more than half of the human population. The situation worsens after the perplexing emergence of hybrid babies that are half human and half animal.

Christian Convery (Gus) delivers a heart-touching performance in Sweet Tooth. And his chemistry with Nonso Anozie’s Tommy Jepperd (Big Man) is just awesome. Season 2 is currently under development.

3. The Sandman (Netflix)

Netflix’s adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman comic book series does complete justice to the author’s work while having a few surprises of its own. It tells the story of Morpheus, a personification of dreams and nightmares. He is one of the seven Endless and serves as the ruler of the Dreaming. Unfortunately, he remains in a cage for 106 years after getting captured by an occult ritual. After escaping from his cage, he discovers that the world he knew has changed and his kingdom is in ruins. This forces him to restore his realm to its original glory and take back his totems of power: his helm, a ruby, and a pouch of sand. However, everything starts to fall apart after the unexpected arrival of a vortex named Rose Walker in his life.

The show’s cast, led by Tom Sturridge, looks top-notch in the show. Boyd Holbrook’s Corinthian and Gwendoline Christine’s Lucifer Morningstar are amazing to watch. Additionally, the visuals, cinematography, costumes, and production design will win your hearts.https://www.binged.com/streaming-premiere-dates/game-of-thrones-web-series-streaming-online-watch-on-disney-plus-hotstar/

2. House of the Dragon (Disney+ Hotstar)

House of the Dragon has done what a worthy successor does best: honouring its predecessor in the best way possible while emerging as a refreshing take on George R. R. Martin’s works. No doubt that HOTD looks bigger and more ambitious than GOT. The show has received acclaim for its writing, performances, direction, set designs, costumes, and visual effects. Milly Alcock and Paddy Considine are the biggest takeaways from the show.

The series is set about 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones when House Targaryen used to rule the Seven Kingdoms. We will witness the beginning of the end of Targaryens and the events that led to a large-scale civil war of succession in the show.

1. Game of Thrones (Disney+ Hotstar)

Say what you want to say about Game of Thrones’ final season. But it is the best fantasy series ever to exist in the history of television, period. We cannot even imagine the existence of HOTD without GOT. Just think about the characters and the storylines we got to watch before the chaotic eighth season. Just try imagining the size of its international fan base. It is scary, right?

GOT has given the fans some truly outstanding characters like Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), Jon Snow (Kit Harrington), Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey), Arya Stark (Maisie Williams), and many more. Apart from them, it is impossible to ignore the show’s performances, musical score, scope, and production values.
