TVF to Enter Telugu Market with This Remake?

Big players in the streaming platform space have realized the need for more regional content to woo spectators in impressive numbers. No wonder, every popular Indian and international series is beginning to have a Tamil, Telugu version, thereby reaching a lot of viewers.

Now, TVF too is looking to produce direct Telugu content, if the hearsay from the industry is to be believed. To begin with, the digital content firm is trying to play safe with a remake of the first season of Permanent Roommates in Telugu.

The original series, is about a couple, Tanya and Mikesh while battling issues of a long-distance relationship are looking at taking their equation further. The Youtube series was a rage with youngsters in the country for its innovative content.

TVF has already approached a few filmmakers to direct the same. While most of them expressed keenness, one needs to understand that many lookalikes of the series have been made in the Telugu and web-space after that. Will the remake version be timely enough?
