TVF’s Scathing Attack on Bollywood

Super Tatti
TVF has been one of the earliest digital content producers in the Indian web series market and time and again, they have proved why they are a cut above the rest. While their last series Gullak opened to positive reviews, TVF‘s satirical video on Super 30 titled ‘Super Tatti-Theatrical trollers’ has now pointed out everything that’s wrong in Bollywood. In just over 4 days, the video has raked in around 2.5 million views.

From the launchpad provided by big producers for star actors to Karan Johar’s chat show to the big-nepotism debate and absence of genuine acting talent, no aspect in Bollywood has been left untouched. In fact, the latest debate surrounding too features in the video, as a frame reads, ‘One tight slap, Vangareddi’. There’s a funny take on allegedly paid award shows with lines like ‘Starlust Best Date of Birth’ too.

Although the video seems harsh on a certain level (given that it exists in other industries beyond films too), it’s important that Bollywood looks at its own mirror with regard to its contradictions, access and hypocrisy. TVF’s intentions are clear but the video, in certain portions, appears like an imitation of AIB’s works. Still, the ‘theatrical troller’ is worth your time.
