Two Bags Of Netflix Popcorn Will Cost You More Than The Subscription

Netflix has not only entered our streaming experience, but it also now has a special place in our vocabulary as well. “Netflix and Chill” is something we all love to do. Netflix assured the streaming part, but the chilling part is something they were working on.

Now, Netflix shifts from your living room to your kitchen, that too with something worth munching on.

Partnering with popcorn company Popcorn Indiana, Netflix is launching a new snacking line with two flavors: “Cult Classic Cheddar Kettle” and “Swoonworthy Cinnamon Kettle.” These flavors will be available in Walmart stores in the USA.

But here’s a fun fact:

Netflix is selling these packs for $4.50 each. Ironically, if you buy two of these packs, you will be paying more than the basic subscription of Netflix, which is $6.99 in the USA.

For a market like India, Netflix won’t dare to launch such products as the market is indeed price sensitive. However, with good marketing and strategy, Netflix can treat it as a luxury product, and people will definitely be tempted to try it.
