Star Wars: Tales of the Empire will present two distinct narratives unfolding in different eras. It will highlight the journeys of Morgan Elsbeth and Jedi Barriss Offee as they guide their meetings with the Empire, each charting their individual course while sharing parallel destinies. The beloved animated series will build upon the triumph of its predecessor, the beloved Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi, which delighted audiences upon its debut in 2022.
The official animated trailer for Star Wars: Tales of the Empire showcases some pristine animation work and greatly designed and planned colour throughout its 2 minutes.
For those who aren’t familiar -Morgan Elsbeth made her debut in The Mandalorian and later played a significant role in Ahsoka, where she spearheaded the mission to retrieve Thrawn. On the other hand, Offee was a Jedi during the Clone Wars but grew disenchanted with the Jedi Order. She played a key role in orchestrating the bombing of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, framing Ahsoka for the act.
Joining them on their adventure in Star Wars: Tales of the Empire are familiar faces like Thrawn, the Fourth Sister, General Grievous, Darth Vader, the Grand Inquisitor, Wing, and other Nightsisters, as revealed in the key art.
The series was created by Dave Filoni and features a talented voice cast, including Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, Meredith Salenger as Barriss Offee, Rya Kihlstedt as Lyn (also known as the Fourth Sister), Wing T. Chao as Wing, Lars Mikkelsen as Thrawn, Jason Isaacs as the Grand Inquisitor, and Matthew Wood as General Grievous.
“Mark your calendars and fire up your lightsabers! Star Wars: Tales of the Empire blasts exclusively onto Disney+ on 4 May 2024. Get ready for an intergalactic adventure like no other!”
