Two Telugu Films Back To Negotiations To Break Direct Online Release Deals?

The Telugu film industry is on a roll. While the other industries are still struggling to find ways to overcome the Pandemic, Tollywood is thriving and a huge number of films are confirming their release dates. As many as Seven Biggies, 25 medium budget films, and 30-40 notable small films are lined up for the rest of the year.

The industry expects to restore normalcy in business by summer. With the reports of the Government of India allowing increased occupancy in the theaters, the industry is further hopeful about the future. On the other side, there are only two notable films that are in line for a probable direct OTT release.

Director Krish’s film with Panja Vaishnav Tej was started as an OTT exclusive film. The movie had already completed its production but is yet to make any official announcement. The second one is Nagarjuna’s Wild Dog. There were reports that Netflix bagged the Direct Online Release Rights of the film but again, there is no announcement.

There are faint rumors in Filmnagar already saying that the makers are now keen on having theatrical release first and are keen on going back to the negotiations table with the OTT platforms. As of now, things look vague but Binged.com will keep you updated about the latest scoops of both these films and their release strategies.
