Fans of U2 have an exciting treat coming up for them soon – a special documentary feature on the iconic rock band from Disney Plus. The docu-special is titled, ‘Bono & The Edge: A Sort of Homecoming With Dave Letterman‘. Yes, along with the duo of Bono and The Edge, fans will also get to feast their eyes on their interaction with legendary talk show host, David Letterman. ‘Bono & The Edge: A Sort of Homecoming With Dave Letterman’ comes on the heels of Disney Plus’ other super-successful specials on Taylor Swift and Elton John.
Disney Plus released a vibrant trailer for the upcoming documentary, along with its release date. ‘Bono & The Edge: A Sort of Homecoming With Dave Letterman’ will premiere on Disney Plus worldwide on March 17. Indian viewers can stream the documentary special on Disney Plus Hotstar on 17th March itself. Interestingly, March 17 is also the day when U2’s new album ‘Songs of Surrender’ will be released.
‘Bono & The Edge: A Sort of Homecoming With Dave Letterman’ will document the 45-year old professional and personal relationship between Bono and The Edge. It will showcase the Irish rock legends’ quest for a new, as also their relationship with their home city of Dublin. The documentary will have Dave Letterman visiting Dublin to spend time with the duo, his first visit to the charming and vibrant city.
The documentary is described as “equal parts travel film and concert movie, in a performance unlike any given by Bono and The Edge before”. ‘Bono & The Edge: A Sort of Homecoming With Dave Letterman’ has been directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Morgan Neville, and produced by his banner, Tremolo Productions, along with Brian Grazer and Ron Howard’s Imagine Documentaries, and Dave Letterman’s Worldwide Pants.
