For those who don’t know, TVF’s Kannada movie ‘Powder’ is being produced in collaboration with Kannada cinema heavyweights, KRG Studios, helmed by Karthik Gowda, Yogi G Raj, and Vijay Subramanium.
The Viral Fever has been making cautious inroads into the south content space. It started off by giving the green light to southern language versions of its popular show, Permanent Roommates. Coming up soon are Tamil, Telugu versions of its blockbuster show ‘Panchayat’. And now, The Viral Fever’s first Kannada movie ‘Powder’ is on the verge of release.
KRG Studios has turned into a beacon of hope for Kannada cinema. It presented several of the most innovative Kannada movies of recent times, including gangster drama, Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana, 777 Charlie, among others. It has produced interesting Kannada movies such as Rathnan Prapancha and Gurudev Hoysala.
Collaborating on an interesting Kannada movie with The Viral Fever is a step in the right direction. This morning, on the auspicious occasion of Ugadi, The Viral Fever and KRG Studios made a festive splash by releasing a new poster of Powder. The poster of Powder is as psychedelic as the movie promises to be.
Powder stars Diganth Manchale, Dhanya Ramkumar, Sharmiela Mandre, Anirudh Acharya, Rangayana Raghu, Achyuth Kumar and Ravishankar Gowda in pivotal roles. The movie is written by Deepak Venkateshan, and directed by Janardhan Chikkanna.
