The trailer for upcoming Malayalam film ‘Ullozhukku’ is here and it’s one intense mysterious drama. Helmed by ‘Curry and Cyanide’ director Christo Tomy, ‘Ullozhukku’ will release in cinemas on 21st June, 2024.
Set in Kuttanad, ‘Ullozhukku’ trailer begins with a heavy rains that are flooding the town. Amidst all this Thomaskutty dies but the rains have delayed his burial. While his body is still at home his wife discovers she is pregnant. When her mother in law discovers this she wants her to stay with him forever.
On the other hand the water situation is not improving and it’s getting difficult by the day to store a dead body at home but the mother is adamant on burying her son in the family grave no matter what.
Getting back to the mother in law- daughter in law situation, the latter does not wish to stay after the funeral but the former wants to keep the child. What follows is a web of secrets everyone has been keeping from each other. ‘Ullozhukku’ trailer feels ominous and dark with lies and secrets spread throughout.
Directed by Christo Tomy, ‘Ullozhukku’ stars Parvathy, Urvashi, Shebin Benson, Arjun Radhakrishnan, Veena Nair, and Alencier Ley Lopez. The music for the film has been composed by Sushin Shyam with cinematography by Shehnad Jalal and editing by Kiran Das.
Ronnie Screwvala, Honey Trehan, and Abhishek Chaubey are producing ‘Ullozhukku’ under the banners RSVP and MacGuffin Pictures.
