Ullu’s Team Come Up With Dharmik OTT “Hari Om”

You must have watched the Netflix and Imtiaz Ali film “Amar Singh Chamkila”. In the film you must have seen how Chamkila shifts to singing devotional songs after he gets backlashes for the usual spicy songs. Well, not at all comparing Chamkila with Vibhu Agarwal, but looks like history is repeating itself.

Vibhu Agarwal, known for the adult OTT platform Ullu, is launching a new streaming service called “Hari Om” in June 2024. Unlike Ullu, which targets horny adults, Hari Om will focus solely on Indian heritage and religious content, particularly mythology. Look at the contrast.

With over 20 mythological shows, the platform will serve a wide audience, including senior citizens, children, and young adults.

Hari Om will offer both long and short-format series, along with bhajans in video and audio formats for spiritual seekers. Children can enjoy specially curated animated content on mythology, so, finally a break from the usual Chhota Bheem kinda cartoons.

The lineup includes classics like “Shri Tirupati Balaji” and “Mata Saraswati,” as well as lesser-known tales such as “Chaya Grah Rahu Ketu” and “Kaikeyi Ke Ram.”

Needless to say, people do not want to share, but Ullu indeed has a huge subscriber base and people love watching it. Will the same happen with Hari Om? Let’s wait and watch.
