The 2021 science fiction ‘Ultrasound‘ is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. It has a cast of actors like Vinceng Kartheiser, Chelsea Lopez, Brendan Wool, Tunde Adebimpe, Rainey Qualley and Chris Gartin. It initially released on June 15 of 2021.
It is based on the graphic novel ‘Genorous Blossom’ written by Conor Stechschulte and directed by Rob Schroeder. Rob Schroeder is known for directing shorts like ‘M For Motivation’, ‘This Never Happened’ and TV series like ‘Variety Studio: Actors On Actors’. The music for the movie is composed by Zak Engel.
Ultrasound tells the story of Glen, who has to spend a terrible night with a stranger married couple Art and Cyndi when his car breaks down. Art persuades Glen to sleep with Cyndi. The events that follow change the lives of the three of them and also of several random strangers. Katie is a girl who cannot keep a secret anymore and a medical practitioner questions an experiment going on inside a mental asylum. The story is beautifully written with many complexities smoothly handles.
It has a strong script and does not leave too many questions unanswered. Which is a very rare quality for a science fiction movie. Ultrasound is a good sci-fi thriller and though it has loopholes and flaws, it is good enough for a one time watch, so watch the movie on Amazon Prime Video if you are a fan of science fiction and if you like to watch weird fictional doctors doing strange experiments on people.
