There are tons of memes on the internet where people are making fun of how badly dubbing used to work in India. They would straight-up translate with zero emotions in the voice and think their job was done. A far better job than mainstream movies was being done by cartoon channels who would do extraordinary work at shows like “Oggy and the Cockroaches”.
Fast forward to the third phase of Marvel films when they actually started setting foot in India. The dubbing improved by leaps and bounds (except for Spider-Man). If the script was not good then at least they would focus on the delivery of dialogues and try to make it more natural.
Fast forward to 2024. Things have progressed and the dubbing issue must have been solved. Isn’t it? Well, it has certainly been improved but it is far from getting solved.
You must be aware that MX Player releases a lot of Korean content through “MX Videshi”. Well, they are coming up with three new shows, and my god, the dubbing.
It is just too bad. Bad to the extent of being unbearable. If this is the case then even the audience would not find it interesting to watch the show. It is best to not dub those shows altogether and bring the original audio-only. This way, the users are gonna have the best experience without any unwanted experience.
