Universal Releases Much Awaited Trailer of Jordan Peele’s Nope

Universal Pictures released the first trailer of Jordan Peele’s Nope. The studio had last week released a teaser which involved three images from the upcoming horror film. The trailer was expected to drop during the Super Bowl event but released a day earlier than planned.

The film is written and directed by Jordan Peele, who previously earned an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay for his directorial feature debut Get Out.

Jordan Peele’s recent two releases- Get Out and US – both belonged to the genre of social thriller. Both movies were used as a form of social commentary and had resulted in Jordan Peele getting widespread acclaim. Not much is known about this upcoming movie but it is being assumed that it’ll follow the same genre.

The film stars Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer, and Steven Yeun, and is scheduled to be released by Universal Pictures on July 22, 2022. Kaluuya starred in Jordan Peele’s popular horror film Get Out, which garnered him a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actor.

The trailer doesn’t give away much about the plot of the movie. It shows Keke Palmer and Daniel Kaluuya’s character who apparently own a ranch. However, nothing is apparent about what is really going on and fans are hardly any better off about knowing the plot.

The teaser released last week had shown the three characters looking upwards in shock. The Nope teaser poster which was released last year had shown a shot of a dark cloud with a line of colourful bunting hanging from it.

We’ll have to wait for a few more months until the movie releases to figure out what the plot is truly about. Until then, the mystery continues.
