Prime Video is not notorious for bugs but problems keep arriving on their platform every now and then. The latest victim of this is the Android TV app where two very good films are not getting subtitles.
As you may already know, Dada and Ela Veezha Poonchira are two very good films that started streaming on Prime Video last week. Dada is a Tamil film while Ela Veezha Poonchira is a Malayalam one.
Both films are available only in their original language so naturally, the only way to watch the film for the non-speakers of those languages is with their subtitles.
But the Android TV app is not showing the subtitles at all. There have been several complaints about the subtitles and there has not been any improvement in the same.
Regardless, this may be a small issue given the overall user experience Prime Video provides. But, it is indeed a frustrating thing for the fans who want to watch a good film. Such movies are really good and they usually get celebrated after their OTT release. With several complaints about it, the problem should have been solved.
Anyways, the subtitles are available in the mobile app of Prime Video. However, it is only the TV app that is having this problem. We hope it gets solved too.
