There are regular feature films/series and then there are documentaries. While we are all acquainted with the former, the latter is supposed to be more formal in its approach. Documentaries are expected to have facts, figures, and unbiased analysis.
Now imagine that a person featured in documentaries is throwing away too many opinions that sound like a conspiracy theory.
Well, that is exactly the allegation on Netflix’s big-budget and buzzy documentary MH370. The documentary series recently started streaming and was in decent buzz due to the interesting subject.
It talks about a Malaysian aircraft that goes missing in the air. It lost connection from all the radars and was never found. Also, it was carrying 239 people on board.
But, the documentary on MH370 seems to have shed off all the sense of seriousness on such a critical issue.
The rage against the show is particularly targeted at a reporter named Jeff Wise. He proposed a conspiracy theory where the Russians are responsible for all this big mess-up. Well, the American obsession to vilify Russia needs not to be exposed but users are calling it an insult to the families who suffered through the MH370 mishap.
Well, this can severely harm the image of Netflix in terms of the documentary. They indeed have a reputation to maintain and such sensational elements will kind of “anti-help” Netflix.
