Warner Bros. Discovery has changed their streaming platform HBO Max to Max and this is the first day of the platform. This replacement covers only the United States.
Users have complained of having trouble while streaming shows on Max.com as well as in mobile apps on ios and TV apps on Roku or Samsung TV. They have taken it to Twitter to complain about the problem. With millions of users being shifted to a whole new website, it is quite natural to have some anomalies. A spokesperson of the Warner Bros. Discovery has said that it was quite expected to have a little bit of problem in a rollout of this much scale.
Some users have complained that it is not opening on Roku while some have said that they are not even able to log in. Even After logging in, there is no activity on the screen after clicking ‘start streaming’. The company had earlier claimed that Max will be available to stream on devices where HBO Max supported, so it should not be a problem to open Max in Roku, Android, Apple TV etc. The company also said that the app will itself be updated to Max and in some cases, the user will be prompted to update it and the password and log-in details will not change. But as per the user experience, looks like this is not duly followed.
It is just the very first day and hopefully these problems will get solved soon. The company has clarified on Twitter that the customer service has gotten to the troubled users as soon as possible and they are trying to eliminate the issues.
