UTV Films On Prime Video: Shahid, Udaan & A Huge Library

Prime Video India has just added a bunch of awesome, forgotten and maybe underrated films from Disney, Fox, and UTV to its rental store. That’s the only sad part, it is in store. That means, you would have to pay a certain amount for each film. Just adding them all in an add-on subscription would have been much easier but alas! It is what it is.

Let’s talk about some of the cool UTV films you can rent now. Ever heard of “Udaan,” “Shahid,” or “Oye Lucky Lucky Oye”? These small movies never became box office sensations but are gems anyway. Then there are films like “Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana” and “Delhi 6” that show you different sides of Indian life and culture.

If you’re into adventure and drama, you’ll love titles like “Jagga Jasoos,” “Jodhaa Akbar,” and “Rang De Basanti.” They are so popular that they don’t even need an introduction. And don’t forget about films like “Kaminey” and “Satyagraha” that are proper crazy drama.

But, raise your expectations because there are also films like “PK,” “Tamasha,” “Mohenjodaro”, “A Wednesday” and “No One Killed Jessica.”

The new addition to the library is indeed huge and you would have to pay a huge sum of money if you are interested in multiple films. That’s the only issue with the Store.

Shahid, the highly appreciated movie is finally available to stream but the director Hansal Mehta is also not very happy about its rental release. He expressed his despair on X but a lot of times, even the directors are helpless about their own films.
