It has been one wonderful year for Karthi and it gets better with the announcement of ‘Karthi26’, the 26th Film of the Tamil star. The movie has been titled ‘Vaa Vaathiyarey’ and it is expected to hit the theaters early in 2024.
Karthi’s comedy drama ‘Japan’ is awaiting its theatrical release in November this year. The second installment of Mani Ratnam’s epic period drama ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ too had Karthi in one of the most prominent roles. After such a successful year, this announcement brings more joy to the fans.
It is said that the actor will be playing the role of a devout fan of MGR. Sathyaraj of Baahubali fame will be playing the antagonist in the movie. Actor Rajkiran too will have an important role. The movie is being directed by Nalan Kumaraswamy and produced by Studio Green 2. The cast and crew wished the director on his birthday on October 25 and the movie was announced by midnight. This will be the 27th production of the production house.
Kriti Shetty will be playing the female lead against Karthi. The shooting for the movie is reportedly near the end and soon posters and trailers will be launched. Fans are excited with the news and Karthi is having one of the most interesting line-ups among the Tamil actors. His ‘Kaithi 2’ will be shot soon, he might star in other LCU movies as well; then there is Sardar 2.
