Telugu star Varun Tej’s patriotic film ‘Operation Valentine’ hit theatres on 1st March, 2024. The film did below average business at the box office, coming as it did on the heels of Hrithik Roshan’s similar-themed ‘Fighter’.
In a surprising development, ‘Operation Valentine’ is now streaming on Prime Video India from tonight, which is 21st March, 2024. This means Varun Tej’s Operation Valentine OTT release happened a mere 21 days or just three weeks after its release in theatres. The movie did not even stick to the standard 4-weeks theatrical window, which is mandatory for the Telugu film industry. Operation Valentine is streaming on Prime Video India in Telugu and Tamil. The Hindi version of the pan-India film will only come on OTT after eight weeks, as mandated by the stricter Hindi film industry.
Varun Tej plays an Indian Air Force officer with a traumatic back story in Operation Valentine. The narrative then moves to the Pulwama attack, and the counter aerial attacks launched by the Indian Air Force.
Besides Varun Tej as leading man, Operation Valentine stars Manushi Chhillar as the female lead. Navdeep, Mir Sarwar, Shataf Figar, Ruhani Sharma, among others, form the rest of the cast. Shakti Pratap Singh Hada has directed the film, while Sony Pictures International Productions, Sandeep Mudda’s Renaissance Pictures, Vakil Khan’s God Bless Entertainment, and Nandakumar Abbineni are the producers of Operation Valentine. Mickey J Meyer has scored the music.
