Venom 3 Is Slapped With A Delay

In terms of onscreen antiheroes, Venom has the potential to sit at the very pinnacle. Disney’s side of Marvel is flourishing, but Sony hasn’t been having the best of times. They already had an abomination called Morbius under their umbrella.

Venom 2 wasn’t the most enjoyable movie, with a 5.9 IMDb rating. ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’ indeed struck carnage to the experience. Also, the 97-minute runtime and the abomination they called a story were enjoyable for some, but not good enough to be saved.

A couple of weeks back, there was a rumor regarding it getting delayed, but there was no official confirmation. Now, the studios have confirmed that the movie will hit theaters on November 8th, 2024. Previously, the confirmed date was July 12th, 2024.

As of today, the actors’ strike has come to an end, and now the content creation void will be filled.

Tom Hardy reprises his role as Venom in a film directed and co-written by Kelly Marcel. The story and screenplay are a collaborative effort between Marcel and Hardy, along with a team of producers.

In terms of box office performance, Venom is indeed a hit, with both movies accumulating nearly $1.5 billion. The second installment even had a massive $90 million opening, while the first one grossed $80.2 million.

“Venom 3” shifts its release date, making way for an unnamed New Line horror movie. 20th Century Studios sets up Rachel Brosnahan-Rami Malek action thriller “The Amateur”. Sony delays “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse” for voiceover work, while its predecessor thrives, dispelling superhero fatigue with $690 million in global earnings.
