Veterans of Indian Cinema Join Forces Again After 25 Years

Prabhu Deva’s recent Instagram announcement has set the entertainment industry abuzz with excitement. After a hiatus of 25 years, the versatile director-actor-choreographer is teaming up once again with music maestro AR Rahman. The project, tentatively titled ARRPD6, ingeniously combines the initials of these two stalwarts. Accompanying the announcement is an animated poster depicting a dynamic dance pose resembling Prabhu Deva against a backdrop of cloud formations, cleverly forming a silhouette reminiscent of AR Rahman’s face.

In the subsequent slide, the ensemble cast is revealed, featuring Prabhu Deva alongside acclaimed actors such as Yogi Babu, Aju Varghese, and Arjun Ashokan from the Malayalam film industry. The project’s producers, Manoj NS, Divya Manoj, and Dr. Praveen Elak, are also credited. Notably, Manoj NS takes the helm as the writer and director for this highly anticipated venture. Set to be released in multiple languages including Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi, ARRPD6 promises to captivate audiences across diverse linguistic backgrounds.

This collaboration marks a momentous reunion between AR Rahman, the Oscar-winning composer, and Prabhu Deva, celebrated as one of India’s foremost choreographer-filmmakers. Their decision to join forces once more underscores the anticipation surrounding ARRPD6. With their last collaborations dating back to the iconic films “Kaadhalan” (1994) and “Minsara Kanavu” (1997), fans eagerly await the magic these two luminaries will conjure up in their latest cinematic offering.
