It is an undeniable fact that production house Maddock Films has had a pretty great year, so far. Having helmed one of the biggest Bollywood hits of all time ‘Stree 2’, in addition to well-received projects like ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’, ‘Munjya’, ‘Murder Mubarak’, ‘Sector 36’, it has a highly awaited slate upcoming as well!
One of these upcoming projects is the Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, Akshaye Khanna, Suniel Shetty led ‘Chhaava’, a historical epic drama revolving around the life and death of valiant Maratha king Sambhaji. In addition to this, Vicky Kaushal is also rumored to become a part of yet another feature from Maddock Films!
Although it has not been confirmed officially yet, the feature is seemingly an Indian mythological epic. Not to say that this genre is being overdone, but it is, very literally being overdone, especially at the moment.
While the likes of titles like ‘Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva’, ‘Adipurush’, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, ‘Munjya’, and more, have already left viewers saturated, there are a lot more upcoming within the same genre. Which is to say, these mythological titles aren’t only being made in one language, but a plethora of regional languages as well.
So much so, that this seems like quite the right time to slow down on films and TV shows based upon Indian mythology!
