It is raining Anthologies in Tamil. After Putham Pudhu Kaalai, Navarasa, and Paava Kadhaigal, yet another Tamil anthology – Victim is announced. Produced Venkat Prabhu’s Black Ticket Productions in collaboration with Axess Film Factory, the four parts of the anthology will be directed by Venkat Prabhu, Pa Ranjith, M Rajesh, and Chimbu Devan.
The makers have made the announcement with unique promotions from some celebrities and social media influencers. The anthology comes with a tagline – ‘Who is Next?. The underlying theme will be victims. Very few details of the Anthology are revealed but it looks like the anthology will have a mix of rawness, reality, and suffering. The choice of the directors also indicates something in that direction.
Putham Pudhu Kaalai is a feel-good subject while Navarasa and Paava Kadhaigal are yet to release. Kollywood is known for exploring raw subjects in films. If the anthology is able to do the same, it will offer a unique experience to the viewers. Buzz is that the film will be released on Hotstar. However, an official announcement from the streaming platform is awaited.
While Pa Ranjith, M Rajesh, Chimbu Devan will be making their OTT debuts with the film, Venkat Prabhu is already directing Disney+ Hotstar‘s Live Streaming, which has Kajal Aggarwal in the lead.
