Vijay Sethupathi Reveals Why He Left Aamir Khan’s Lal Singh Chaddha

Vijay Sethupathi is among the best artists from India and enjoys a crazy fan following down south. He has been giving consistent praiseworthy performances which has made people all over India his fan. Seeing his meteoric rise, the perfectionist Aamir Khan offered him a role in his upcoming movie Lal Singh Chaddha. The news made the trade pundits go bananas, as the combination of both the talented actors was bound to create waves. But recently the news came out that Vijay Sethupathi backed out from the movie, which came as a shock to the audience.

It was reported that Aamir Khan had asked Vijay to specifically reduce weight according to the character’s demand, and Vijay failed to do so, hence he was asked to back out from the movie. This news was not received well by many, as a potential blockbuster combination could not pan out.

Recently, Vijay Sethupathi in an interview cleared the air around his relationship with Aamir Khan and what actually happened with Lal Singh Chaddha. Vijay started off by praising Khan and saying that he is the sweetest and kindest gentleman. Apparently, Aamir Khan himself flew down to a village where Vijay was shooting and narrated him the script of LSC and offered him to do it. Vijay, who is a big admirer of Khan agreed for the movie.

But then, the pandemic arrived which also became the party pooper for the crew. Since dates became messed up, Sethupathi became busy with 5 of his Telugu projects and couldn’t give the shooting dates for Aamir Khan’s movie. Hence it was all the case of tight schedule and not of some issues with Sethupathi’s weight as claimed by several sources.

On asked about the rumour of his departure Vijay answered that – “I am very comfortable with my body and my mind. Whichever project I go into, they go with me.”

Lal Singh Chaddha is an ambitious project of Aamir Khan and is the official hindi remake of the classic Forrest Gump which starred Tom Hanks. Apart from Khan, the movie also features Kareena Kapoor Khan and is directed by Advait Chandan.
