Vikings: Valhalla Season 3, A Bloody History of Faith Clash

Netflix has announced that the third and final season of “Vikings: Valhalla” will premiere on July 11. This series is a sequel to the popular “Vikings” and has managed to impress the audience.

“Vikings: Valhalla,” created by Jeb Stuart, is a historical drama set in the early 11th century. It tells the exciting stories of some of the most legendary Vikings in history, including Leif Eriksson, his sister Freydis, and the Norwegian prince Harald Sigurdsson. Leif Eriksson is played by Sam Corlett, Freydis by Frida Gustavsson, and Harald Sigurdsson by Leo Suter.

The third season begins seven years after the end of the second season. Freydis is now the undisputed leader of Jomsborg, a pagan stronghold, while Leif and Harald have gained fame and glory in the grand city of Constantinople. Despite their accomplishments, they will face even greater challenges as they strive to fulfil their ultimate destinies.

In addition to the main characters, several series regulars will return for the final season. These include Laura Berlin as Emma of Normandy, David Oakes as Godwin, and Bradley Freegard as King Canute. There will also be guest stars like Pollyanna McIntosh as Queen Ælfgifu, Soren Pilmark as Sweyn Forkbeard, Sofya Lebedeva as Elena, Florian Munteanu as Maniakas, and Goran Visnjic as Erik the Red.

The trailer indicated a bloody clash between the pagan faith and the Christian one. We all know that Christians took over Europe but the Celtic influence on language is still very much prominent. Vikings were the ruler of the European lands and their saga will end with the third season of Vikings: Valhalla. Let’s wait for the 11th of July.
