Still Expecting ‘Vikram’ on Hulu in the US? Well, you can stop now! Yes you read that right, and no this ain’t a speculation or some rumour off the internet.
Kamal Haasan’s high voltage action thriller ‘Vikram’ started streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 8th July midnight but only for viewers in India. It wasn’t available to stream for subscribers outside India where the streaming service is available.
Instead viewers as usual hoped the film would stream on Hulu in USA which unexpectedly it did not. Disney+ Hotstar has now clarified that ‘Vikram’ won’t stream on Hulu or Disney+ Hotstar in the US as it does not have streaming rights for the film in the country.
As expected this has left the subscribers highly disappointed with the lack of clarity from both Disney+ Hotstar and Hulu. Moreover, rather than Hulu providing the clarification it was Disney+ Hotstar that did so, raising more eyebrows over the mismanagement within.
While the blockbuster hit ‘Vikram’ is available on Simply South in the original Tamil version with 4K HD resolution and Dolby Atmos outside India in countries such as Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, USA, Middle East and Asian countries, the question here is how many platforms will one have to subscribe to catch up on their favourites in a language of their understanding.
