Violent Night To Arrive On Amazon Prime Video On This Date

Violent Night is set to arrive on Amazon Prime Video. The David Harbour starrer will hit the streaming service on May 26.

Helmed by Tommy Wirkola, Violent Night is a Christmas action comedy flick that has gained somewhat of a cult status since its release in December last year. The trio of David Leitch, Kelly McCormick, and Guy Danella produced the film under 87North Productions. The production house is prominent for making flicks like Nobody (2021) and Bullet Train (2022).

Harbour’s take on the jolly good and ass-kicking Santa received praise from critics and audiences. The film earned over $76 million globally and was declared a box-office success. When a group of mercenaries, led by Scrooge (played by John Leguizamo in a hilarious performance) takes a wealthy family hostage on the evening of Christmas, Santa Claus is left with no alternative but to protect them from those mercenaries.

Violent Night currently stands at 73% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 203 reviews.

The leading man, David Harbour, recently appeared in Netflix’s ‘We Have A Ghost’ alongside Anthony Mackie, which opened to mixed critical reception. He is set to play pivotal roles in upcoming projects, such as Gran Turismo and MCU’s Thunderbolts.

Although, it is not clear that Violent Night will be available for non-rent streaming in India upon its release on May 26. Prime Video India may make an announcement regarding this scenario soon. Stay tuned for more updates.
